Have you got what it takes to be a Governor?

Enthusiasm and support for Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals are the requirements for any would-be Governor. Being a Governor can be very rewarding and interesting. Governors represent the interests of the Trust's membership (which includes staff, patients and local residents) and the wider public.

Our Council of Governors is made up of 25 Governors and its main purpose is to hold the Non-Executive Directors individually and collectively to account for the performance of the Board of Directors.

We are holding elections this autumn for:

Public Constituencies

  • Elmbridge - 1 position
  • Runnymede, Surrey Heath, Windsor and Maidenhead - 3 positions

Staff Constituencies

  • Ancillary, Administration, Clerical and Managerial - 1 position
  • Medical and Dental - 1 position
  • Trust Volunteers - 1 position

No special skills or knowledge are required and support will be provided through the Membership Office to make sure any Governor can carry out his/her role.
