A new memory loss café in St Peter's Hospital was officially opened by The Mayor of Runnymede, Cllr Derek Cotty on Wednesday 20 May, which coincided with Dementia Awareness Week. The Café was opened to provide an informal place for carers of dementia patients to meet over a cup of coffee and access any support or advice they need.

The café will be open every Wednesdays and all carers are welcome to drop by - between 4.00pm & 6.00pm in the Medical Unit Seminar Room, Level 4 Duchess of Kent Wing (follow the signs to Swift Ward).

Representatives from the Trust's dementia team and other local organisations such as Age UK and Home Instead will be on hand to help.
