Most of our car parks at both Ashford and St. Peter's Hospitals now operate a Pay on Foot system.

This means that users pay for their parking at the end of their visit only. The Pay on Foot payment machines all accept notes, coins and credit cards.

At St. Peter's Hospital there are still a few Pay and Display parking spaces alongside Abbey Wing and at the back of the Duchess of Kent car park. Our Pay and Display machines only accept coins and unfortunately do not offer change.

Current parking charges are displayed in each car park. At the entrance to St. Peter's Hospital we also have a display board which indicates how many parking spaces are currently available in each of the car parks.

  • See our Parking page for more details about charges and concessions

Parking is free for Blue Badge holders.

For those making frequent visits to the hospitals a concessionary rate, currently £25 per week, is available. This may be purchased directly from the pay and display car park machines and pay on foot machines in the Outpatients and Abbey Wing car parks or for those visitors using the A&E and Hazel pay on foot car parks, from the Travel Plan Office on level 3 of the Outpatients building.

We have recently significantly improved our parking facilities on both hospital sites and have virtually eliminated the need to queue for parking spaces. However, at peak times in some of our smaller car parks you may find it helpful to allow extra time for parking. It is extremely important to ensure that we keep our roads and pathways clear and safe for all users. Dangerously parked vehicles or those causing a particular hazard, for example parked on corners or pathways, will be subject to a warning notice.

The Trust operates a parking fine scheme, enforceable following a warning notice. Should you have any queries relating to the use of the hospital car parks please contact the security office on 01932 723675 or internally on Ext. 3675.

Public car parks are located at the front of Ashford Hospital and in the following locations at St Peter’s Hospital:-

  • Abbey Wing
  • A&E / Rowley Bristow Unit
  • Duchess of Kent Wing
  • Outpatients - Floors 2 and 2.5 only

All car parks are clearly signposted.

An update on parking at St Peter’s Hospital

Levels 2 and 2.5 of our new multi deck car park are open for patients and visitors.

The new car park provides additional parking spaces and direct access to the main reception of the hospital via stairs or lift. There is dedicated Blue Badge parking on level 2, adjacent to the front of the hospital and main reception

All patient car parks are now ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) so there is no need for a ticket to enter or exit. Upon entering the car parks a camera captures your registration number. When you are ready to leave, please enter your reg into any of the payment terminals and pay the fee due.

If you are a blue badge holder please follow the instructions on the terminal in order to obtain your parking free of charge.

Please note that patient / visitor parking continues to be available in the upper level of the ramp car park.
