Part of our NHS75 celebrations, Dr Alka Thakur, one of our paediatric consultants is leading a Fundraising campaign with the Geetanjali Academy of Fine Arts from London. Together, Dr Thakur and these talented children are our third team joining this campaign and they will be singing during July to raise funds for our Children's Unit.
In Dr Thakur words:
"My entire department and I are incredibly passionate about delivering the highest quality of care to the children in the local community. We believe that by having a Paediatric Assessment Unit, and therefore being able to see children in a less acute setting, we can relieve pressure of the busy Emergency Department, improve patient experience, and provide better support to our primary care colleagues in the community.
I would request one and all to come forward and to support me in this initiative."
