Caroline Warner

Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to announce the appointment of Caroline Warner as their new Chair from Monday 4th September 2023.

Caroline has a well-established portfolio of Chair and Non-Executive Director roles in public service organisations. She has over 25 years of multi-sector professional experience and offers a specialist understanding of strategy, transformation planning, citizen advocacy and behaviour change.

Currently, Caroline is the Chair for two consumer advocacy organisations in the water industry. She has previously held roles in the NHS as a Non-Executive Director at Surrey & Sussex NHS Trust and as Interim Chair for the Frimley Commissioning Collaborative. Additionally, Caroline has worked with local communities as a School Governor and as a District and Parish Councillor.

During her executive career, Caroline led brand businesses for Moet & Chandon, Dom Perignon, Drambuie, and L’Oreal Paris. In these roles, Caroline managed multi-national, multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high quality products and services to customers.

Talking of her new appointment, Caroline says: “I am thrilled to be joining Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals as Chair. This is a progressive organisation determined to redesign hospital services to meet the health needs of our citizens now and in the future. I look forward very much to working closely with the teams to deliver this vision.”

The appointment of the Trust Chair is led by the Council of Governors Nominations and Appointments Committee and Governors were closely involved in the process.

Lead Governor for Ashford and St Peter’s, Shirley Holmes, adds: “We are extremely pleased to be welcoming Caroline in her new role as Chair of the Trust. Her experience across many sectors will bring added expertise to the Board and help Ashford and St Peter’s continue in its journey as a first-class hospital Trust.”

Caroline lives in Surrey with her family and is expected to take up her new role from outgoing Chair Andy Field, who has led the Trust for the past six years and who will be continuing as Chair of our healthcare partner CSH Surrey.
