Opportunities for Work Experience
Please note we only offer places in term time and therefore no places are available in half terms and holidays
The Trust is pleased to offer high- quality work experience placements for students who may be interested in pursuing a career in the NHS. We offer three-day placements, which are meticulously planned and tailor made in accordance with your career aspirations. Our work experience is only offered to students over the age of 17. If you’d like to apply for this fantastic opportunity, then please complete and return our work experience application form. We’ll then do our best to accommodate your request. Please note that we may not be able to offer you a place until at least 4 months after you submit your application form. Please also check that you will be able to travel to and from our sites before applying.

I learnt a lot about the realistic experience of working at a Hospital, how doctors treat patients, and different medical conditions.
I liked trying out everything, as I wasn't only working with doctors. But also Pharmacists and physiologists. It showed daily responsibilities I enjoyed both observing and helping out

Insight Days
For schools that have students aged 16 and under we do offer Insight Days which is where we cater for up to 30 students and 5 teachers to come to the hospital and spend a day learning about various roles here, perhaps ones that no one has ever heard of or thought about. We try to keep the days fun and interactive as well as informative so that students can start thinking about their future.
