You are likely to encounter a number of different staff during your visit.

Everyone who approaches you should be wearing a badge showing their name and job title and they should also introduce themselves. If you are unsure of the identity of anyone you come into contact with, please ask.

Nursing and medical students

We have students from all disciplines allocated to the Day Surgery Unit as part of their training and they are fully supervised by trained members of the nursing or medical team at all times.

Medical students are attached to consultants' teams. If you do not wish to be part of the training programme for the medical students, please tell the nursing staff when you are admitted, otherwise we appreciate your co-operation in helping us to train future doctors.

Housekeeping

Cleaning is carried out “in-house” and catering is provided by "OCS”. If you have any comments about these services, please do not hesitate to inform one of the nurses.
