Dear Patient,
We regret to inform you that due to the current COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation, Ashford & St Peter’s Hospital NHS Trust are looking to ensure everything possible is done to protect the local community. This being the case the Trust will be changing clinic appointments & the way we manage patients in the community setting.
Hospitals are no longer the safest place for this routine medical management. Rather than the current face to face appointment you’ve been given, we advise you to use the current government advice to remain at home as far as possible. If you have an urgent need for medical advice please call 111. If you would like less urgent medical advice, please contact the hubs (if you are known there) or your GP surgery. Our website will have the same information.
We will provide extra support to these areas including some telephone, email and video link support to the community clinicians to aid the direction of your care. We will be running some emergency face to face clinic appointments at Ashford.
Please be reassured that although we will not be seeing you face to face we will be actively managing your medical management remotely with the support from our community colleagues.
Obviously we are under increased pressure at the moment which is likely to increase & be for a significant period of time, so we would appreciate your support & only contact us if needed.
We fully appreciate the inconvenience this causes & we apologise for this.
We will be contacting you in the coming months to re-book your appointment.
