We endeavour to ensure that a Chaplain is normally available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. The Trust Switchboard will always try to contact the on-call Chaplain for you, if on the rare occasion when an on-call Chaplain cannot be made available, then a call to the patient’s own faith leader is encouraged.

The Chaplains are happy to visit anyone, whether or not they belong to a particular denomination or faith. They may also be able to help staff contact the patient’s own religious leader / faith representative, if appropriate. Staff can also refer to the blue folder “Meeting the Patients’ Religious Needs”, available in the ward/clinical area.
