Lower outpatients car park at Saint Peter's Hospital before redevelopment

An update on parking at St Peter’s Hospital

We’re pleased to be opening levels 2 and 2.5 of our new multi deck car park for patients and visitors as of Friday 30th October.

The new car park provides additional parking spaces and direct access to the main reception of the hospital via stairs or lift. There is dedicated Blue Badge parking on level 2, adjacent to the front of the hospital and main reception

The new car park is accessed via a barrier where you’ll be required to take a ticket. Payment can then be made as you leave the hospital via any of the payment terminals which are located on level 2.

Please note that patient/visitor parking continues to be available in the upper level of the ramp car park.

For further information, please see the map below.

Car Parking at St Peter's

There are three other parking areas:

  1. The main car park is that marked as ‘Hazel Car Park’. This was previously used for staff parking but is now dedicated parking for patients and visitors. It is located on the left hand side as you drive up the road towards A&E.
  2. The top floor of the car park outside Abbey Wing will remain available to visitors.
  3. The small A&E car park will become parking for blue badge holders only. Blue Badge parking is free.

There will still be 20 minutes free drop off in all of the visitor parking areas. All other charges will remain the same.

What impact will there be?

You will need to park in a different place to usual and depending on your mobility and which department / ward you are visiting it may take a few minutes longer to get to your destination. Wheelchairs will be available in the A&E car park area.
