This week I’ve spent quite a bit of time meeting a number of different families who have been unhappy about the care either they or their relatives have received in our hospitals. And there’s a real theme coming through. They feel we are not listening to them and involving them in decisions about their care, or the care of their loved one. It may be a perception or it may be real but whichever it is, it’s certainly the feeling they have been left with and in general underpins any other concerns and issues they may have.
